In 3R3D we use small carbon fibers that melt with ABS to improve the properties of the material.
These fibers are extremely strong and cause the filament to increase in strength and rigidity. This also means that the 3D printed parts will be much lighter and more dimensionally stable, since the fibers will help prevent the part from shrinking as it cools.

CF-ABS is a filament of ABS reinforced with high performance carbon fiber for people who want a structural component with high qualities, excellent surface quality, dimensional stability, light weight and ease of printing.
Made with 15% carbon fiber at our facilities in Irún – Gipuzkoa, CF-ABS is an exceptional material and perfect for your 3D prints.

CF-ABS is suitable for use on virtually any desktop 3D printer that has a hot print base.
Keep in mind that carbon fiber reinforced filaments are abrasive and can wear a brass or aluminum nozzle.
Available in diameters of 1.75 and 2.85 mm. in coil of 0.75 kg.

Recommended printing conditions:

Extruder: 220-240 ° C. CF-ABS is a filled product and has a higher melt viscosity than unfilled resin. Therefore, it is sometimes necessary to print at higher temperatures to allow the resin to flow properly.
Base temperature: 100-110 ° C
Nozzle: Minimum of 0.4 mm.
Layer height: the ideal height of the layer is 60% of the diameter of the nozzle. We do not recommend printing layers below 0.25 mm with carbon fiber grades. A value less than 0.25 mm can generate too much pressure at the hot end and cause poor feed, jamming, clicks of the driving gear and a notch in the filament.
